Pretzel Assassin by Denver Beer Co

Brew Review: Pretzel Assassin by Denver Beer Co

Pretzel Assassin by Denver Beer CoDenver Beer Co is a fun, relaxed spot in downtown Denver that is open-air during the nicer months. JP and I had a nice afternoon there during the end of our quick stop in Denver last September, so we bought a few 6-packs of cans to help start our beer cellar in our new place.

Somehow, we still had a Pretzel Assassin hanging around in mid-November, when I photographed this one on our patio.

You know, we really have quite a decent patio, and I wish we used it more. I guess it’s my fault, since I wouldn’t let the fella buy patio furniture when we first moved in. I wasn’t convinced that we would use it. And, of course, since we don’t have furniture, we never use the patio.

Anyway, back to Pretzel Assassin. It’s a Vienna Lager, so it’s malty, bready, and a little bit caramely sweet. I don’t believe that any pretzels were harmed in the creation of this beer, but it does evoke a pretzel-ish feeling. I gave it 4.25 stars, and the fella gave it 4 stars. It’s reliable and easy to drink, and perfect when you don’t want something too fancy, but you still want something good.
